Explicit Monitor

.
How do I report a false-positive?
We build the explicit blocklist of bad sites with proprietary web scrapers.
These sites are blocked before they enter your home/office, and the list is very large - and growing bigger every week.
Within this global blocklist are mostly explicit sites, but there can also be malware sites, ad related, tracking, proxies and known bad sites in general.
We do our best to vet each site before it's added to the explicit global blocklist, but false positives do happen.
Please send a quick email to support@kibosh.com - or drop an anonymous quick-note here.
Some sites do not appear to be explicit?

You can disregard these - although they are data-points that will give you an idea of where the user(s) have been spending time online.
How do I read this log?

Explicit sites (aka internet pornography) are obvious - you'll know when you see them.
If a device has an explicit hit here and there, nothing to worry about, probably these were called by ads loading on safe websites.
If you see a few explicit website hits each day - then you have someone heading down the wrong path.
When someone has formed bad habits you will know because they will try repeatedly, and there will always be multiple explicit hits on their device(s).
Were these sites able to be viewed (accessed)?
No - these are sites that have been blocked.
The explicit monitor shows you when a device has attempted to access (or, the site was called by a side-load app while browsing).
You'll know if there is a problem by the number of blocks. Just like malware - a block here and there is to be expected as a side effect of general web browsing. But many hits over days signals there is a problem, and the sooner it's addressed the better.
How long does it take for a blocked website(s) to show up in the explicit logs?
Between 5 - 10 minutes.
Pretty close to real-time.
