Kibosh Router 2.0 Upgrade Firmware / Reset to Factory

  1. Log into your Global Dashboard
  2. If you have a lot of settings you don’t want to lose, choose Upgrade Firmware.

3. Upgrade Firmware, Clearing All Device Settings is like doing a factory reset and will wipe all settings.  This is your best option if you’re having issues of any kind, and what I always use.

NOTE: You can update the firmware even if it’s the same version without hurting anything.

NOTE: You can update the firmware many times without hurting anything.

NOTE: If you clear all device settings it’s a factory reset. So if you’re troubleshooting something – please reset the firmware.

Step by Step:

  1. Log into your Global Dashboard
  2. Go to Manage Device > Upgrade Firmware
    • Click Upgrade Firmware if you want to preserve your existing settings.
    • Click Upgrade Firmware, Clearing All Device Settings for a ‘restore to factory’ type update.
  3. Wait five minutes, patience….
    • The krn600 Wi-Fi may disappear and then reappear a few times (so wait five minutes)
  4. Reconnect to your Kibosh Wi-Fi
    • Password for both Wi-Fi is back to default: abcd0001
      •  Both Wi-Fi: krn600 / krn_5g_600
  5. Bring up your Dash
    1. Manage Device > Update Firmware and make sure your “…device is up to date.”
    2. Manage Device > Wi-Fi and change your wireless back to the way it was prior to the firmware update.

NOTE:  Connected Hosts will not show real device names for a few hours post firmware update. You can expedite this by restarting the device(s) which will force them to check in (or wait and they will check in eventually).
