Pieces involved:

  1. Kibosh DNS Servers
  2. Kibosh Browser-Agent installed on at least one PC
  3. Kibosh Portal sign-up

NOTE: most new WiFi routers today require you to install their App in order to configure the router settings, like changing the WiFi name & password.

In our experience these apps greatly restrict what you can do with your WiFi Router.

If you are considering a new WiFi router, we highly recommend a Kibosh MT6000 which offers classic full, easy, simple control. Use coupon 15off-dns for 15% off an MT6000. Get one while supplies last.

Step-by-Step:

  1. Be sure you’re connected to the WiFi you want to protect…
  2. Find your WiFi router’s Admin Panel & Login
    • Search Google for your WiFi Router’s model #
      • example: ‘nighthawk r7000 change wifi password
  3. Once you have logged into your WiFi router’s Admin…locate DNS Server settings
  4. Reboot WiFi Router & your PC
  5. From your PC go to test.kibosh.com:
    • If you get a Success message you can move to Step #6.
    • If you get Failed – repeat Steps #3 & #4.
  6. Install Browser Agent & Activate DNS-ID
  7. Optional: Install Mobile Link VPN
