Spectrum modems do not work well with non-Spectrum routers.
In general, your best option is to replace the Spectrum modem with your own:
Search Amazon for ‘spectrum modem‘ or ‘coax modem‘ – there are many options.
When you get your private modem:
- Install it exactly like the spectrum modem
- Call Spectrum as have them activate the new modem
- Return the Spectrum modem so they stop billing you for it’s use.
