With the goal that our local Internet service should never be impacted by any outages on the cloud- server side, which are inevitable, we created the WAN Crash Monitor 1.0. It’s a tool that runs on the Kibosh MT6000 that will switch customer temporarily to a Public (raw) DNS, and then back again when the cloud-server outage is over.

For most customers the WAN Crash Monitor is transparent and desired.

Issue: But for customers that use real-time connection apps like any Trading platform, TeamViewer Remote Support, Live website Chat, etc., the WAN Crash Monitor, when it starts making changes, will causes slight blips in the real-time platforms causing them to re-connect every few minutes, which can be very annoying.

Solution: turn the WAN Crash Monitor 1.0 on / off.

  1. Log into your Router Admin at http://192.168.10.1
  2. Log is using your Kibosh Portal password (same password for both logins)
  3. Go to WAN Crash Monitor
  4. Turn Off
  5. Save Changes
