Browsers (Chrome, FireFox, Brave, Internet Explorer) are essentially operating systems that run on top of operating systems.

Everything we do online is in a browser:

We interact with the Internet via a Search Engine (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Yandex).

Browser plug-ins provide additional features.

Browsers offers to save passwords and store Personal Identifiable Information (PII) in CC #’s and addresses.

Browsers are constantly adding new features, most of them designed to remove more of our freedom under the guise of convenience at best.

When you are prompted, i.e., OFFERED, to enable ANY new that will make your life better – ALWAYS SAY NO!

The only tool you need to stay safe and fast online is a properly configured private DNS service.

For example, let’s say you choose YES to “make brave faster” – what will you get?

  1.  How will brave know what is using memory, and what apps could benefit by more memory? By caching (i.e., saving) and monitoring everything you do 24/7- another way to know what you’re doing at all times.
    • And you can’t yell at them for doing this, you said ‘yes’ after all…
  2. Will you notice a speed improvement? Maybe if you have 2GB RAM on your PC, but these days 8GB is the minimum, 16GB the norm.

Another offer I see a lot these days is VPN – click here for free VPN security. What a joke! First of all, a VPN will slow your internet experience down, even if just a little, and second – the VPN host will see ALL OF YOUR DATA – websites, passwords, etc. So, do you trust your VPN provider with everything?

Nothing is free – nothing. Every packet that travels over the internet has a cost associated with it, and if you are not paying for a service, then YOU are the product.

The only tool you need to keep your Internet safe and fast is a properly configured private DNS service.

Kibosh is one.
